At Aruabits we work directly with organizations that serve communities. One of the major roles of the CBOs/CSOs is to recommend to Aruabits vulnerable youth from the communities using a set and agreed upon criteria.
We also liaise with the CBOs/CSOs on issues of follow up. The youth trained at Aruabits are expected to go back to their communities and share some of the skills acquired with their peers under the supervision and support of the CBO/CSO.
Some of these include:
- Rural Initiative for Community Empowerment (RICE)
- Reproductive Health Uganda
- Youth with a Mission (YWAM) Arua
- Ayivu Youth Effort for Development (AYED)
- CREAM West Niles
- Hedwig Education and Health Fund Association (HEHFA)
Aruabits has partnered with reputable ICT businesses/companies in Uganda for insight in training curriculum development (conceptualizing the curriculum into market context), offering internship/employment placement of graduates after ICT multimedia training.
Aruabits training is modeled in such a way that after a 8 months training the students are placed in companies as interns for a period of three months. For this to be possible we secure placement with graphics, web design and development, and purely IT companies. The students practice working in real company environments and they sometimes end up employed in these companies.
